Bluejay Tot Ball Rules

• All games will played at the Bondurant Recreational Sports Complex (BRSC) on Saturday Mornings from May-June 6; weeks in total. 
• Home Team will take the field first; visitors are at bat first (home team is listed last on the schedule) 
• Games will last 3 innings (approximately 45 minutes) 
• After the game, players and coaches will cross the field and shake hands
• Cancellation of games will be handled by Bondurant Little League. If a game is cancelled the league will determine if a makeup game will be played

• Coaches may want to have a name tag for each child so parents can call each child by their name
• Have a parent on ALL bases (parent must have completed background check with Bondurant Little League) 
• Have a parent or coach in the dugout with the kids to line them up in the batting order. 
• The next batter can be waiting on deck outside the dugout. 
• Each player swings until they hit the ball
• After the players gets a hit they run to 1st base and then stop. Players will only advance one base at a time. 
• NO STRIKES, NO OUTS, NO SCORE
• If a player doesn't want to bat, run, etc. the coach can assist by running with them. 
• Last batter each 1/2 inning runs around all the bases (home run) and the other players on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd run to home plate.
• Rotate batting position throughout the season so each player can have the opportunity to bat last so they can run around each base all at once. 

• All players line up on the Pitcher's Mound
• Have 2 coaches on Pitcher's Mound (1 to keep kids in line and the other to help each player know who gets the next hit ball) 
• The 1st player in line retrieves the hit ball and places it on the tee. Don't try to tag them out. 
• After player places the ball on the tee, that player goes to the dugout to cheer their team on and gets ready to bat next inning. 

• Please encourage your parents to purchase treat tickets from the BRSC concession stand. All proceeds from the concession stand go right back to The Bondurant Little League. 
• We'd also like to encourage you to schedule a meet and greet before the season, and maybe plan some additional socialization time. This is an introduction to Little League and many families may not know one another and Tot-Ball is a great time to start relationships that will continue to group right on up through Majors baseball and softball
• Pictures will be set by League and information will be sent to coaches to communicate with team
